26-27 November 2015
This was a combined international meeting of the British and Italian Hip societies held in Milan and co-chaired by Luigi Zagra and Fares Haddad. The international faculty incorporated members from both societies and a comprehensive range of topics looked at the past, present and future of hip surgery. The subject matter included the paediatric hip, surgical approach and technique, implant design and performance, complications and revision. The programme incorporated instructional courses and oral presentations.
In the Ceramic THA Session I presented a review that asked the question ‘Is squeaking still a reason of concern?’ that discussed the phenomenon known as ‘squeaking’ in ceramic bearings. In addition, I co-chaired the Oral Presentation Session on Revision of the Acetabulum.
